On Monday, health officials in Germany logged 2,212 new infections pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases to passed 3.8 million. Of the cumulative total, 96.5% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 10, bringing the total number of fatalities to 92,291.
Globally, over 203 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 183 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.3 million worldwide.
Poland and Ontario have not reported any Covid-related fatalities on August 9, 2021.
